Personalised Weight Management for Men & Women

Supporting healthy metabolism, hormonal balance, energy and sustainable weight management through evidence-informed nutrition and naturopathic care.

Achieving and maintaining a healthy weight isn't always as simple as eating less and exercising more.

For both men and women, weight regulation is influenced by a complex interaction of hormones, metabolism, genetics, age, sleep, stress, nutrition and lifestyle.

You may be experiencing gradual weight gain, difficulty losing abdominal fat, changes in body composition or frustration that previously successful approaches no longer seem to work.

As a Naturopath, Nutritionist and trained Functional Medicine Practitioner, I take a comprehensive, investigative approach to weight management, looking beyond the scales to understand the individual factors influencing your metabolic health.

My focus is on helping you improve metabolic function, maintain muscle mass, optimise nutrition and develop sustainable habits that support long-term health and wellbeing.

Understanding the Factors Behind Weight Gain

Insulin resistance can affect metabolic health in both men and women and is commonly associated with increased abdominal fat, elevated blood glucose and metabolic syndrome.

Personalised nutrition and lifestyle strategies can help improve insulin sensitivity and support healthier metabolic function.

Insulin Resistance & Blood Glucose Regulation

Hormonal changes can influence weight distribution, muscle mass, appetite and energy levels.

For women, perimenopause, menopause, PCOS and thyroid disorders may contribute to changes in body composition and weight regulation.

For men, ageing, reduced testosterone levels, changes in muscle mass and metabolic health can influence abdominal fat accumulation and body composition.

Understanding these factors helps guide an individualised approach to nutrition and lifestyle support. Where hormonal disorders are suspected, appropriate medical investigation is important.

Hormonal Health in Men & Women

Chronic stress and inadequate sleep can influence appetite, food choices, energy levels and metabolic health.

Addressing stress, sleep quality and daily routines can be an important part of achieving sustainable weight management.

Ageing & Muscle Mass

Maintaining muscle mass becomes increasingly important as we age.

Adequate protein intake, resistance exercise and appropriate nutrition can help preserve strength, support healthy body composition and improve metabolic wellbeing.

Digestive symptoms, food intolerances and restrictive eating patterns may influence dietary choices and nutritional adequacy.

Supporting digestive health can make it easier to maintain a varied, balanced and sustainable eating plan.

My Approach to Weight Management

I take a personalised, investigative approach to weight management for both men and women, looking beyond calorie intake to understand the hormonal, metabolic, nutritional and lifestyle factors that may influence weight and body composition.

Treatment combines evidence-informed clinical nutrition, targeted supplementation and herbal medicine where appropriate, alongside practical strategies to support blood glucose regulation, insulin sensitivity, appetite regulation, muscle maintenance and healthy metabolism.

My approach may also incorporate natural nutritional compounds and plant-based supplements that support the body's own GLP-1 response, helping to promote satiety, appetite regulation and metabolic health. These may include selected soluble fibres and other evidence-informed nutritional interventions, tailored to individual needs. Their effects are generally modest and are not equivalent to prescription GLP-1 medications.

My focus is on addressing contributing factors, improving metabolic health and creating sustainable, long-term results rather than relying on restrictive diets or short-term weight loss solutions.
